Interaction of pack() Options

This applet shows the interaction between a number of packer options. It's best not to view the source at this point.

Note that both pack() and many widgets (e.g. buttons and labels) have an option called anchor (with the same range of allowable values). Their effect is quite different however:

Widget: anchor determines the placement of the text within the widget
pack: anchor determines the placement of the widget within its "parcel", for those dimensions that aren't "filled"
