CNRI Handle Support in Grail

Grail includes a standard extension that enables support for URIs of the following form:

hdl:authority/path

Such URIs are called "handles". They are part of a URN scheme, the Handle System, implemented by CNRI. See the Handle System home page for more information on handles and the Handle System.
